Samuel Peter is a Nigerian professional boxer who has a net worth of $5 million dollars. Samuel Peter was born in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria in September 1980. He started to train for boxing at the age of 11. Peter won the Nigerian amateur heavyweight championship as well as the Africa Zone 3 heavyweight championship.

Peter represented Nigeria at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics. In 2001 he turned professional. In 2003 Peter defeated Dale Crowe to win the vacant WBC Youth heavyweight title. In 2004 he defeated Jeremy Williams to win the vacant NABF heavyweight title, and in 2005 Peter defeated Yanqui Diaz to win the vacant USBA heavyweight title. The same year he won the NABA heavyweight title by defeated Taurus Sykes. After starting out 24-0 Peter suffered his first loss to Wladimir Klitschko in 2005 and lost the NABF heavyweight title. He lost another match to Klitschko in 2010. Peter has defeated James Toney twice and he won the WBC heavyweight title from Oleg Maskaev in 2008. He lost the title three months later to Vitali Klitschko. As of 2011 Peter’s professional record is 34 wins with 27 knockouts and 5 losses. He is the only man that has lost to both Klitschko brothers.
