Asante Samuel is an American professional football player who has a net worth of $12 million. Born in 1981 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Asante Samuel played college ball at the University of Central Florida. He was named to the first-team All-Independent squad in 2001 and the first-team All-MAC squad in 2002.
The New England Patriots selected Samuel with the 120th overall pick during the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. The cornerback played for the Patriots from 2003 until 2007, with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2008 until 2011, and the Atlanta Falcons from 2012 until 2013 before becoming a free agent after the Falcons released him early in 2014. He is currently a free agent as of the start of the 2014 season. Samuel was named to four Pro Bowls in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, and was a three-time All-Pro in 2007, 2009, and 2010.
