Michael Westmore is an American make-up artist who has a net worth of $5 million. Michael Westmore was born in Los Angeles, California in March 1938. He is best known for working on Star Trek productions where he was won nine Emmy Awards. Michael is part of the Westmore family of make-up artists.

His grandfather George created the first studio make-up department while his father Monte worked on Gone with the Wind and his uncle Bud co-created the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Michael graduated from the University of California-Santa Barbara. He became a make-up artist for Universal Studios in 1961 and three years later became Assistant Department Head of Make-Up. In the 1970s and 1980s he became a freelance make-up artist. He designed the prosthetic noses for Robert De Niro in Raging Bull. Westmore worked for the Central Intelligence Agency created make-up sets for operatives overseas to change identities. He has worked with Star Trek since 1986 and developed the make-up for alien races such as the Ferengi, Cardassians, and Jem’Hadar. He also helped create the makeup for the character Data. Westmore won an Academy Award in 1985 for the film Mask. He was nominated for at least one Emmy Award each year from 1984 to 2005. Westmore has also published three books.
