Michael Lee-Chin is a Jamaican-Canadian business magnate, investor, and philanthropist who has a net worth of $1 billion dollars. Michael is the founder and Chairman of Portland Holdings Inc. He is also the Executive Chairman of AIC Limited and the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica. He is also the Chairman of the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica.

Chin was born in Port Antonio, Jamaica in 1951. He has been named by Canadian Business as one of the richest Canadians. In 2003 he donated $30 million to the Royal Ontario Museum. He gave $10 million to the Rotman School of Management – University of Toronto. That gift lead to the Michael Lee-Chin Family Institute for Corporate citizenship at the Rotman School of Management – University of Toronto. Lee-Chin graduated from McMaster University in 1974. He has owned or operated Columbus Communications which includes Sauce Cable Company, Eastern Caribbean Gas Pipeline Company, Radio Jamaica, Reggae Beach resort, Senvia, and Trident Hotel resort. Portland Holdings Inc. includes companies in media, healthcare, tourism, and financial services. He was previously married to Vera Lee-Chin and had three children with her. He now lives with Sonya Hamilton and has twin daughters.
