Jay Wright is an American college basketball coach who has a net worth of $7 million. Jay Wright was born in Churchville, Pennsylvania in December 1961. He played college basketball at Bucknell before becoming an assistant coach for Rochester from 1984 to 1986. Wright was an assistant coach at Drexel from 1986 to 1987 and at Villanova from 1987 to 1992.

He was an assistant coach at UNLV from 1992 to 1994 and became the head coach at Hofstra from 1994 to 2001. Since 2001 Wright has been the head coach at Villanova. In 2016 he helped Villanova win the NCAA Division I Tournament. Wright has also reached two NCAA Division I Final Fours, won four Big east regular season championships, one Big East Tournament championship, two America East Tournament championships, and two America East regular season championships. Wright has been the Naismith College Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2016 and is a five time Big East Coach of the Year and a two time America East Coach of the Year.
