Born David Sanford “Sandy” Gottesman to a Jewish family on April 26, 1926, in New York, he earned his wealth as investment advisor in many projects. A graduate of Trinity College who holds an MBA from Harvard University, Gottesman started his investment advisory company First Manhattan Co.
