Brian Piccolo was an American professional football player who had a net worth of $50 thousand at the time of his death (adjusted for inflation). Brian Piccolo was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in October 1943 and passed away in June 1970. He was a running back who played at Central Catholic High School.

Piccolo played his college football at Wake Forest where he was a second-team All-American. He went undrafted in the 1965 National Football League draft but signed with the Chicago Bears. Brian Piccolo played his entire NFL career for the Bears from 1965 to 1969 and had his #41 retired. He developed embryonal cell carcinoma which is an aggressive form of germ cell testicular cancer that spread to his chest cavity. Piccolo was the subject of the TV movie Brian’s Song in 1971 which was remade in 2001 and he was portrayed by James Caan and Sean Maher respectively. Brian Piccolo passed away on June 16, 1970 at 26 years old from cancer.
