Andrew Breitbart Net Worth, Career, Biography, Facts, Age, Life Story

Andrew Breitbart was an American publisher, journalist, author, an occasional guest commentator on various news programs. At the time of his death in 2012, Andrew Breitbart’s net worth was $10 million.

Andrew Breitbart was born on February 1, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. He was the adopted son of Gerald and Arlene Breitbart, a restaurant owner and banker respectively. He grew up in a family with secular liberal views, in the upscale neighborhood of Brentwood, in Los Angeles. He was raised Jewish. His birth certificate indicates his biological father was a folk singer, and that he was ethnically Irish by birth. Andrew earned a B.A. in American studies from Tulane University in 1991.

Andrew gained widespread fame (and fortune) after founding a number of websites, most notably his namesake site Breitbart.com. He also founded BigHollywood.com, BigGovernment.com, BigJournalism.com, and BigPeace.com. Today, years after his death, Breitbart is still a notable website. It’s arguably the largest non-mainstream conservative website in the world. Breitbart has attracted controversy almost continuously. It frequently publishes articles which could be construed as racist, sexist, homophobic or worse.

In February 2010 he received the Reed Irvine Accuracy in Media Award during the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. He often appeared as a speaker at Tea Party movement events across the U.S.

In April 2011 Grand Central Publishing released his book, Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save the World, in which he discusses his own political evolution and the part he took in the rise of new media, most notably at the Drudge Report and The Huffington Post.

Andrew died on March 1, 2012 at the age of 43.
