Zhu Gongshan joins alternative energy billionaire Li Hejun on the China’s richest list as chairman of the solar energy materials supplier GCL-Poly Energy Holdings. Even though last year was tough for the solar industry, GCL’s shares and Zhu’s wealth have escalated on the hopes that the industry will benefit from Chinese government moves to promote renewable energy in households.
In addition to GCL-Poly Energy Holdings, Zhu Gongshan serves as co-chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Alliance.
