Warren Stephens is an American businessman who has a net worth of $3 billion dollars which makes him one of the richest people in Arkansas. Warren Stephens graduated from Washington and Lee University and then earned his MBA from Wake Forest University. His uncle launched the investment bank, Stephens, Inc.

in the early 1930s, and his father joined the company in the mid-40s, expanding it into gas, oil, and retail investment, including underwriting Wal-Mart. Warren Stephens became CEO in 1986. He then bought out his cousin’s share, after his uncle died in the early 90s. He has continued to expand the company, including launching Stephens Media, which controls 30 newspapers all over the United States. Most recently, he purchased 16 smaller newspapers on the East Coast. He is a staunch Republican and has supported Bob Dole, Steve Forbes, and Mike Huckabee, and has very publicly denounced the policies of both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. He recently built his own private golf club on 1,000 acres of land on the outskirts of Little Rock, Arkansas.
