Walter McCarty is an American professional basketball coach and former professional basketball player who has a net worth of $10 million. Walter McCarty was born in Evansville, Indiana in February 1974. He was a 6’10” power forward and small forward who played at William Henry Harrison High school.

McCarty played his college basketball for Kentucky and won an NCAA championship in 1996. He was drafted #19 overall in the 1996 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks. McCarty played for the Knicks from 1996 to 1997, the Boston Celtics from 1997 to 2005, the Phoenix Suns in 2005, and the Los Angeles Clippers from 2005 to 2006. He then moved into coaching and was an assistant coach at Louisville from 2007 to 2010. He served as an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers from 2010 to 2011 and became an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics in 2013. He released the album Moment for Love in 2003.
