Wade Barrett is an English professional wrestler and actor who has a net worth of $7 million. Stuart Alexander Bennett was born in Preston, Lancashire, England in August 1980. He was inspired by Davey Boy Smith to be a professional wrestler. Barrett became a champion bare-knuckle boxer in Liverpool.

After winning a large cash prize he was stabbed in an alleyway. He now has a 12 inch scar from the attack and also has a disfigured nose due to taking so many punches. He was trained by Al Snow and Jon Ritchie. He won the Dropkixx IWC Heavyweight Championship in 2005 and signed a developmental contract with the WWE in 2006. He wrestled for Ohio Valley Wrestling and then Florida Championship Wrestling where he won tag team championships at each. He was a competitor in the first season WWE Next and was mentored by Chris Jericho. He won the NXT competition and a WWE contract. Barrett was the leader of a group of NXT rookies called The Nexus. He headlined five WWE pay per views in 2010. Barrett went on to form another faction called the Corre that was short lived.
