Vincent Lo is a Hong Kong real estate mogul who has a net worth of $1.9 billion. Born Vincent Lo Hong-shui in 1948, he is the founder of Shui On Land, a construction and building materials company. In order to start his own company, Lo borrowed a huge amount of money from his father, a real estate baron, when he came home after his graduation of the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1969.
Lo gained the first cement plant in Changqing, in 1995, and this made his company one of the China’s top three cement companies. Under Lo’s management, the company has accomplished various development projects in many Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Foshan, Dalian, Hangzhou, Chongqing and Wuhan. Thanks to Chinese economic growth, the company’s shares have increased for 7% in the past year.
