Thomas Secunda is an American businessman who has a net worth of $1.84 billion dollars. Thomas Secunda was born in Bethpage, New York in 1954. He is best known for being one of the original four co-founders of Bloomberg L.P. Secunda earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Binghamton University.

He started out as a programmer and worked as a fixed-income trader for Morgan Stanley. He also worked as a systems researcher at Salomon Brothers with Michael Bloomberg. In 1982 Secunda, Bloomberg, Duncan MacMillan, and Charles Zegar set up Innovative Market Systems. The company was renamed Bloomberg L.P. in 1987. Secunda is the global head of Bloomberg’s Financial Products and Services. He oversees a staff of about 6,000. Secunda became vice chairman in 2011. He also sits on the board of directors for the company. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for the National Parks Conservation Association in 2011 and serves on the boards for the Manhattan Theater Club and the Intrepid Museum Foundation. He and his wife Cindy are signatories of the Giving Pledge and they have two daughters.
