Rufino Vigil Gonzalez is a Mexican steel magnate who has a net worth of $2.4 billion. Rufino Vigil Gonzalez is the President of Industrias CH, a steel production and processing company with an annual capacity of more than 5 million tons. He owns a 64% stake in the holding company, which has numerous subsidiaries involved in production of commercial steel and welded steel tubes.

Created in 1991, Industrias CH Vigil began making a series of acquisitions from the very beginning. While in 1999, it merged with Grupo Ruvi, another steel producer. It was in 2001, when the company bought out 82.5% of Grupo Simec, a steel manufacturer with factories in Guadalajara and Mexicali. Nine years later, the Simec assets represented 91% of ICH’s net sales. Nowadays, the company has 24 steel production and processing units, 16 of which are spread across Mexico, whereas the remaining 8 are placed in the United States and Canada.
