Born to affluent father, Fortunato Brescia Tassano, who built a real estate company that capitalized on Lima’s growth, Rosa is one of his children who took their rightful part of his fortune after his death in 1951.
Rosa’s assets were controlled by her husband, Paul Fort, until his death in 2004. Ever since, her son Alex Fort Brescia has managed her funds. The Brescia family has taken over the control of a group of companies know as Grupo Brescia, with interests in a vast number of industries like agriculture, fish products, cement, paint products, explosives, welding, insurance, banking, mining and real estate.
