Rob Machado is an Australia-born American professional surfer who has a net worth of $6 million. Rob Machado was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in October 1973. He is known for his casual and laid back style in and out of the water and resides in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California near San Diego.

Machado is one of the best known “goofy” foot surfers in the world and has won several prestigious surfing contests including the U.S. Open of Surfing and Hawaii’s Pipeline Masters or the Triple Crown of Surfing. He hosts the annual Rob Machado Surf Classic and Beach Fair and is still very popular although he is retired from the World Championship Tour. In 2011 he was inducted into the Surfing Walk of Fame. Rob rose to fame in the late 80s and early 90s along with a group of American surfers who were based out of Hawaii. Rob had a famous rivalry with Kelly Slater, with both going back and forth as who many considered the best surfer in the world.
