Ricky Hendrick was an American NASCAR stock car driver who had a net worth of $15 million dollars. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Ricky Hendrick, also known as Joseph Riddick Hendrick IV, began racing while in high school. He won his first race in 1998, and a year later, he began racing for the NASCAR Busch Series.

He finished 20th at his first race. In 2000, he began to race in the NASCAR Truck series, and by 2001, he had shifted over to the truck series full-time. While he was a successful racer, and was clearly on the rise, he was also seemingly accident prone, and was injured multiple times. In 2002, he was severely injured, and spent two months recovering. Post-recovery, he chose to retire, and became owner of two teams and opened his own motorcycle dealership. In 2004, he was killed in a plane crash on the way to a race and was survived by his fiancee, Emily Maynard, who gave birth to their daughter after his death. His father was Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports.
