Peter Schmeichel is a Danish retired professional soccer player who has a net worth of $25 million. Peter Schmeichel was born in Gladsaxe, Denmark in November 1963. He was a goalkeeper who played his youth career with Hoge-Gladsaxe and Gladsaxe-Hero. Schmeichel made his senior career debut in 1981 for Gladsaxe-Hero until 1984.

He played for Hvidovre from 1984 to 1987, Brondby from 1987 to 1991, Manchester United from 1991 to 1999, Sporting CP from 1999 to 2001, Aston Villa from 2001 to 2002, and Manchester City from 2002 to 2003. Schmeichel also represented Denmark in international competition from 1987 to 2001. He was named IFFHS World’s Best Goalkeeper in both 1992 and 1993. Schmeichel was the captain of Manchester United when they won the UEFA Champions League in 1999 and won the UEFA Euro 1992 with Denmark. He is the most capped player for Denmark and played in 129 games. In 2003 he was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame. His son Kasper Schmeichel plays goalkeeper for Leicester City and Denmark.
