Peter Lim is a Singapore businessman and investor who has a net worth of $2.4 billion. Born Peter Lim Eng Hock, “Peter Lim” was rated eighth amongst Singapore’s 40 richest people by Forbes magazine in July 2010. Just a few months prior, he was tied at No. 655 amongst the world’s billionaires with an estimated net worth of $1.5 billion.

Nicknamed the “Remisier King,” he started as a stockbroker for mainly Indonesian clients. He became a full-time investor in 1996 when he invested $10 million in Wilmar International, a palm oil producer; it now has an approximate value of $700 million. He is also the second-largest investor in FJ Benjamin, a fashion distributor in Singapore. His other interests include logistics and agri-business. He has shares in Chinese property developer Yanlord Land and British automaker McLaren. Recently, Lim stepped up his investments in Malaysia and partnered with state-owned property developer UEM Land Holdings to build a $1.2 billion motor racing complex, Motor City, in the Iskandar region in Johor.
