He also co-founded the web companies Flippa, an online marketplace for buying and selling websites, domains and iOS apps, also based in Australia, and 99designs, an online graphic design marketplace headquartered in San Francisco, California with offices in Melbourne, Berlin, Paris, London and Rio de Janeiro.

In 2012, 99designs acquired the European creative services marketplace 12designer and the following year the company set up European headquarters in Berlin, also launching localized versions of its services in German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Italian.
