Chalmers was never charged, yet he received a fine of $20,000 due to missing his rookie camp. Chalmers, however, bounced back quickly. During his fourth game with the Miami Heat Chalmers set a new steals record, recording nine in a single game. Chalmers would become a free agent during the NBA off season and would re-sign with the Miami Heat for the 2011 NBA season.
