Kirk Ferentz is an American football coach and former college football player who has a net worth of $16 million. Kirk Ferentz was born in Royal Oak, Michigan in 1955 and played football at Upper St. Clair High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before heading to the University of Connecticut to play linebacker.

Kirk Ferentz was a graduate assistant on the coaching staff at the University of Pittsburgh in 1980, for a team that finished the season ranked No. 2 with an 11-1 record. From 1981 to 1989 Kirk Ferentz was the offensive line coach at the University of Iowa. In 1990, Kirk Ferentz left Iowa to take the head coach position at the University of Maine for three seasons. In 1993, he became the offensive line coach for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns and followed the franchise when they relocated and became the Baltimore Ravens. In December 1998, Kirk Ferentz was hired to be the University of Iowa’s 26th head football coach. He has held this position since 1999. Kirk Ferentz and his wife Mary have five children. His son Brian was a starting offensive lineman at the University of Iowa, and is currently the offensive line coach at Iowa.
