Joe Mansueto is an American businessman and entrepreneur who has a net worth of $1.93 billion dollars. Joseph D. Mansueto was born in Munster, Indiana in September 1956. He is best known for being the founder and CEO of Morningstar, Inc. Mansueto graduated from the University of Chicago and earned his Bachelor’s and MBA degrees.

He started Morningstar out of his home in 1984 for $80,000. Morningstar is an investment research and management firm that is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The company went public in 2005 and in 2013 their revenue was just shy of $700 million. In 2005 Mansueto purchased the financial magazines Fast Company and Inc. As of 2008 he owned more than 60% of common stock in Morningstar. He invested in Wrapports which purchased the Chicago Sun-Times in 2011. Joe owned a stake in Time Out Chicago magazine which he sold in 2013. Joe married Rika Yoshida in 1988. The couple pledged $25 million for the expansion of the University of Chicago library in 2008. The couple has three children together. In 2011 Mansueto gained inclusion on the Forbes World’s Billionaires list.
