Jerry Clower was an American country comedian who had a net worth of $4 million. Jerry Clower was born in Liberty, Mississippi in September 1926 and passed away in August 1998. He was known as “The Mouth of Mississippi” and was known for telling stories of the rural South.

Clower served in the United States Navy and played football at Mississippi State University before taking on a variety of jobs including a fertilizer salesman. He released several comedy albums starting with From Yazoo City – Mississippi Talkin’ in 1971. Clower’s album Clower Power was released in 1973 and reached #7 on the US Country chart. His posthumous 2006 album Classic Clower Power reached #3 on the US Comedy albums chart. He also served as the co-host of the television series Nashville on the Road from 1975 to 1981. Jerry Clower passed away on August 24, 1998 at the age of 71.
