Jensen Ackles is an American actor, director, producer, and singer-songwriter who has a net worth of $14 million. Ackles is best known for starring as Dean Winchester on The CW series “Supernatural” (2005–2020). Jensen was reportedly paid $175,000 per episode while starring on “Supernatural.” Ackles played Eric Brady on the NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives” from 1997 to 2000, and he has appeared in the films “Devour” (2005) and “My Bloody Valentine 3D” (2009) and the television series “Mr. Rhodes” (1996–1997), “Dark Angel” (2001–2002), “Dawson’s Creek” (2002–2003), and “Smallville” (2004–2005).

Early Life

Jensen Ackles was born Jensen Ross Ackles on March 1, 1978, in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Richardson, Texas, with mother Donna, father Alan (an actor), older brother Joshua, and younger sister Mackenzie. Jensen attended Dartmouth Elementary School, Apollo Junior High School, and LV Berkner High School, earning his diploma in 1996. Ackles began modeling at age 4, and during his youth, he appeared in television commercials for RadioShack, Nabisco, and Walmart. As a high school student, he took theater classes and was a member of the lacrosse and baseball teams.


Jensen appeared on his first television show, “Wishbone,” in 1995, then he guest-starred on “Sweet Valley High” (1996) and “Cybill” (1997). From 1996 to 1997, he appeared in eight episodes of the NBC sitcom “Mr. Rhodes,” and he began playing Eric Brady on “Days of Our Lives” in 1997. Ackles spent three years on the show, and in 1998, “TV Guide” named him one the “12 Hottest New Stars.” After leaving “Days of Our Lives,” he portrayed actor Eddie G. Robinson in the 2001 TV movie “Blonde,” which is about Marilyn Monroe. Personal Life

In November 2009, Jensen became engaged to actress Danneel Harris. They married on May 15, 2010, and they welcomed daughter Justice on May 30, 2013, and twins Zeppelin and Arrow on December 2, 2016. Harris had a recurring role as Sister Jo / Anael on “Supernatural” from 2018 to 2020, and the couple launched the production company Chaos Machine Productions in 2020. ​Jensen and Danneel co-own the Family Business Beer Company with Harris’ parents and brother. Located in Dripping Springs, Texas, the brewery’s name is a nod to the “Supernatural” slogan “Saving people. Hunting things. The family business.”
