Born in 1982 in Worcester, Massachusetts, Jenny Johnson earned her degree from the University of New Hampshire after studying Communications and Women’s Studies. She spent six months in South Africa volunteering at an orphanage.

After college, Johnson landed a spot on reality show “The Roomies” on XY TY that was designed to be similar to MTV’s “The Real World”. Johnson took a year’s trip to live in Florence, Italy, where she studied interior design.
