From 1979 to 1985 he had a recurring role as Hughie Hogg on the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. From 1988 to 1989 Altman provided the voice of Professional Normal Dweeb on the series Slimer! And the Real Ghostbusters. He starred as Greg Vincent on the television series Nurses from 1991 to 1992. Altman had a recurring role on the TV series Baywatch from 1989 to 1998.
