Born God Semenovich Nisanov on April 24, 1972 in the small town in Azerbaijan, he graduated from the Baku Institute of Law before moving to Moscow in 1992.
While in Moscow, he met and partnered with fellow countryman Zarakh Iliev. The two made their beginnings by building markets near metro stations. Then the partners turned these into shopping centers.
