He directed the film Ad Fundum in 1993 and the TV series Windkracht 10 in 1997. In 1999 he wrote and directed the movie Shades. Van Looy directed the TV series Mannen op de rand van een zenuwinzinking in 2001 and the TV series documentary Via Vanoudenhoven in 2002. In 2003 he wrote and directed the film The Memory of a Killer. He directed the film Loft in 2008 and the movie The Loft in 2014.
