Born in Lucedale, Mississippi, in 1973, Eric Moulds played college football near his hometown at Mississippi State. The Buffalo Bills drafted him with the 24th overall pick during the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft.

He was a quiet contributor during his first two seasons as the team fed their top receivers until he broke out during the 1998 season with more than 1,300 receiving yards. Moulds played in Buffalo until 2005 before spending a season with the Houston Texans in 2006 and a season with the Tennessee Titans in 2007. The six-foot-two, 225-pound wide receiver is a three-time Pro Bowler with appearances in 1998, 2000, and 2002. He also earned All-Pro honors in each of those three seasons. Moulds led the AFC in receiving yards during the 1998 season and is part of the Buffalo Bills 50th Anniversary Team. During the 2002 season, he became the first player in team history to record at least 100 catches during one season. At the height of his career, he was considered among the best players in football at the wide receiver position.
