Eric Kretz is an American musician and producer who has a net worth of $10 million. Eric Kretz was born in San Jose, California in June 1966. He is best known for being the drummer of the band Stone Temple Pilots. He has also been a member of other bands including Talk Show.

Kretz is the owner and operator of Bomb Shelter Studios in Los Angeles, CA. He wrote the music for Stone Temple Pilots song “Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart” and co-wrote the lyrics to the song “Plush” which won a Grammy Award. As a producer he has worked with artists including Thom Yorke, Damian Marley, Ben Harper, Slayer, Death Cab for Cutie, and Jurassic 5. Stone Tempe Pilots formed in 1989. Their second album Purple reached #1 in the US and their #1 singles include “Plush”, “Vasoline”, “Interstate Love Song”, “Big Bang Baby”, “Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart” and “Lady Picture Show”.
