She later starred as Judith Whitman in the TV series DAG from 2000 to 2001 and had a recurring role as Cherry Cherry in the series Popular from 1999 to 2001. In 1998 she authored the book Delta Style: Eve Wasn’t a Size 6 and Neither am I. Burke was nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Designing Women in 1990 and 1991. Delta has been married to fellow actor Gerald McRaney since 1989.
