Dean DeBlois is a Canadian director, producer, screenwriter, editor, and animator who has a net worth of $12 million. Dean DeBlois was born in Aylmer, Quebec, Canada in June 1970. DeBlois started off as an assistant animator and layout artist. He graduated from Sheridan College’s Classical Animation program.

He worked for Hinton Animation Studios/Lancewood Productions and Sullivan Bluth Studios before working for Walt Disney Feature Animation in 1994. DeBlois wrote for the animated movies Mulan in 1998 and Lilo & Stitch in 2002. He created and wrote for the TV series Lilo & Stitch: The Series from 2003 to 2006 and wrote for the series Stitch! from 2008 to 2010. DeBlois also wrote the movies How to Train Your Dragon, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and the upcoming How to Train Your Dragon 3. He worked as an assistant animator for the TV series The Raccoons in 1989. DeBlois also directed the How to Train Your Dragon film series and served as executive producer for the 2nd and 3rd parts. In 2014 he won a Hollywood Film Award for Animation of the Year for How to Train Your Dragon 2. DeBlois was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2011 for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year for How to Train Your Dragon.
