David Boies is an American lawyer who has a net worth of $20 million. David Boies was born in Sycamore, Illinois in March 1941. He is the chairman of the law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner. Boies graduated from the University of Redlands, Northwestern University, Yale Law School, and New York University.

He sits on the Board of Trustees of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. Boies started as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in 1966 and he became a partner in 1973. He has been involved in several notable cases including defending IBM against the Justice Department, representing the Justice Department against Microsoft, representing George Steinbrenner against Major League Baseball, defending CBS against General William Westmoreland, representing Al Gore against George W. Boies has authored two books and was named Lawyer of the Year by Time Magazine in 2000. Mr. Boies has an 8500 bottle wine collection that contains many expensive French wines as detailed in the June issue of the “Wine Spectator”.  Also he owns a 900 acre vineyard in California near Napa.
