Curtis Sliwa is an American anti-crime activist, media personality, and politician who has a net worth of $500 thousand. Curtis Sliwa was born in Brooklyn, New York in March 1954. He is the founder and CEO of the Guardian Angels and is the chairman of the Reform Party of New York State.

Sliwa created the group Magnificent 13 in 1977 to combat crime and violence on the New York City Subway. The group became the Guardian Angels in 1979. They became known for their signature look including a military style red beret. Sliwa was kidnapped and shot in 1992 but he managed to leap out of the front window of the moving taxi cab. His attempted murder was later charged to John A. Gotti. Sliwa is also a radio talk show host for WABC-AM in New York City and he started his radio career in 1990. In 2016 his hostile takeover of the Reform Party of New York State was successful. Sliwa was married twice including to Lisa Evers and was involved with Melinda Katz briefly.
