Chuck Panozzo is an American musician who has a net worth of $14 million. Chuck Panozzo was born in Chicago, Illinois in September 1948. He is best known for being the bassist for the rock band Styx. Chuck and his fraternal twin brother John Panozzo co-founded Styx with Dennis DeYoung in 1972.
The band released their self-titled debut studio album in 1972. Their album Styx II was released in 1973 and reached #20 on the Billboard 200 chart. Styx also released the albums The Serpent Is Rising in 1973, Man of Miracles in 1974, Equinox in 1975, and Crystal Ball in 1976. Styx’s albums The Grand Illusion in 1977 and Pieces of Eight in 1978 both reached #6 on the Billboard 200. Their album Cornerstone was released in 1979 and reached #2 in the US and their album Paradise Theatre reached #1 in the US in 1981. Their album Kilroy Was here was released in 1983 and reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and Styx also had success with their albums Edge of the Century in 1990, Brave New World in 1999, Cyclorama in 2003, and The Mission in 2017. Their most successful singles include “Babe”, “Too Much Time on My Hands”, and “Mr. Roboto”. Chuck Panozzo’s autobiography The Grand Illusion: Love, Lives, and My Life With Styx was released in 2007 and in 2001 he announced he was gay and had contracted HIV.
