They released the album Midnight Café in 1976 which reached #6 in Germany. Smokie released the album Bright Lights & Back Alleys in 1977 which reached #1 in Norway and #3 in Finland and Sweden. Smokie also had success with their albums The Montreux Album in 1978 and The Other Side of the Road in 1979. Their single “If You Think You Know How to Love Me” reached #3 in the UK.
