Cash Money Records Net Worth, Career, Biography, Facts, Age, Life Story

Cash Money Records is an American record label that has a net worth of $300 million dollars. The company was founded in 1991 by Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams. The brothers allegedly used money earned from the drug trade to launch their business.

After producing a decent amount of hits as an independent label, Cash Money signed a $30 million distribution deal that also came with a $3 million advance, 85% of royalties and 50% of all publishing revenues. Incredibly, they were also able to negotiate 100% ownership of their masters. Today they are one of the most successful and profitable record labels in hip hop history. Between 2001 and 2003, Cash Money sold seven million albums. Cash Money Records’ releases are distributed via Republic Records in the United States and Universal Music Group worldwide. They are based in New Orleans, Louisiana and Miami, Florida and host artists such as Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Limp Bizkit, Busta Rhymes, Drake, Bow Wow, Christina Milian, Paris Hilton, Young Money and more. In 2015, Lil Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money and label founder Birdman over the delay of the artist’s album The Carter V. In July of the same year, Birdman filed a $50 million lawsuit against Jay-Z’s music service Tidal.
