He was a left fielder and first basemen who batted left handed and threw right handed. Yastrzemski spent his entire Major League Baseball career playing for the Boston Red Sox from 1961 to 1983.

He was an 18 time MLB All-Star including from 1965 to 1979. Yastrzemski was the American League MVP and won the Triple Crown in 1967. He was also the AL home run leader and RBI leader in 1967.
