He is the bassist and co-founder of the bands Creed and Alter Bridge. Brian actually came up with the name “Creed” after a previous band he had been in called “Mattox Creed”. He initially left Creed in 2000 after clashing with lead singer Scott Stapp.

Creed formed in 1993 and released their debut studio album My Own Prison in 1997 which reached #1 in New Zealand and #22 in the US. The band released the album Human Clay in 1999 which reached #1 in the US, Canada, and Norway. Creed released the album Weathered in 2001 which reached #1 in the US and their album Full Circle was released in 2009 and reached #2 in the US. Alter Bridge formed in 2004 and released their debut studio album One Day Remains in 2004 which reached #5 in the US. They have also had success with their albums Blackbird in 2007, AB III in 2010, Fortress in 2013, and The Last Hero in 2016.
