He began interning for a station in Los Angeles, and then worked as a sound engineer for the Young Americans on tour for three years. From there, he took a job with a radio station in Michigan. After three years, he moved to another station in Michigan, WJML. While working as a bartender to supplement his income as a radio host, he met Tom Griswold, an out of work radio host from Florida who was looking for a new station. The two radio personalities teamed up, and began their legendary and successful morning show, “The Bob & Tom Show” in 1983. She show has continued to this day in syndication.
