Comrie is the founder of one of Canada’s largest retailers of furniture, appliances, mattresses, and home electronics, The Brick. He is also the head of the Brick Group Income Fund.

Comrie played hockey for the Moose Jaw Canucks which were a Chicago Blackhawks farm team. He also played for the Edmonton Oil Kings but retired from hockey when his father passed away to enter the family furniture business.
