He won the Mid-American Conference freshman of the year award in 2009 after rushing for 1,361 yards and 16 touchdowns that season. In 2010, Bernard Pierce was named the Easter College Athletic Conference’s FBS Offensive Player of the Year. Bernard Pierce led Temple to their first bowl game win in 32 years in 2010. Bernard Pierce was selected in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft with the 84th overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore traded up in order to get Bernard Pierce in the third round. In his rookie season, Bernard Pierce won the AFC Championship and Super Bowl XLVII with the Baltimore Ravens, where he was instrumental in the Wild Card game victory that led the Ravens to the Super Bowl.
