Artimus Pyle is an American musician who has a net worth of $3 million. Artimus Pyle was born in Louisville, Kentucky in July 1948. He is best known for being the drummer of the band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Pyle served in the United States Marine Corps before the joined the band.

He survived the 1977 plane crash that killed three members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band formed in 1964 and was named after the members’ high school gym teacher Leonard Skinner. Their signature songs include “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Free Bird”. They released their debut studio album (Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd) in 1973. The band’s first two albums were certified 2x Platinum. Other Skynyrd hits included “I Ain’t the One”, “Tuesday’s Gone”, “Gimme Three Steps”, and “Simple Man”. In 1982 Pyle toured with the Artimus Pyle Band and they released three albums. He participated in the Skynyrd Tribute tour and recorded on the album Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991. In 1993 he was arrested for attempted capital sexual battery and lewd assault on two female children. Pyle plead no contest and registered as a sex offender.
